Reading has always been associated with being smart and intellectual. It's true that reading has endless benefits to us and anyone can better themselves by reading a book

Books help us discover things we never thought about, gives us ideas and dreams we would have never conceived had we not read it. 

Whether it's fiction or non-fiction, books take you to a different world. You can go to a fantasy world where magic happens, travel in time and learn lessons you would never learn in your life, and even get into the minds of the smartest people alive. 

My personal favourite is to read self-help books. I find that every book I read teaches me something I didn't know before and leaves me better than if I hadn't read the book.
